IN ITALY'S CAMPANIA EXPERIENCES THAT CANNOT BE HAD ANYWERE ELSE The cozy feel of the trip was the prevalence of family businesses and the passion that accompanies them. The first example of this was seen in Sorrento at I Giardini di Cataldo – a small family-run limoncello factory in Sorrento. The Espositos’ passion for their groves and products is evident in the attention and quality of the things they offer. Equally as passionate about their work are married couple who own the Aragon Distillery on Ischia just a couple of minutes’ walk down the road from the Aragon Castle. A SITE-SPECIFIC PROJECT IN ONE OF THE DECONSECRATED CHURCH OF NAPLES Painting on a large scale is an expression of an artist's ambition and ego, allowing Chase Palmer to create a world that the viewer can nearly step into. All three works are loosely adapted from the Divine Comedy, with Space Invaders representing Paradiso, Destination Compaction representing Purgatorio, and Little Divers representing Inferno. The subject matter is intended to be entertaining rather than strictly religious or moralizing, and viewers are left to decide whether they can see themselves in these painted worlds full of opportunists, gluttons, and heretics. SPEND A WEEKEND ON THE SUNNY ISLAND OF ISCHIA Tom Alberto Bull travels to Ischia, a perfect little gem in the glittering Gulf of Naples. From the moment the landscape appeared on the horizon as I made the short trip across the bay I couldn’t wait to disembark. The central peak, Mount Epomeo, towers 788 metres above sea level, covered in luscious green trees which some say give the island its nickname. We had an ambitious itinerary to squeeze into two days and time was of the essence. We hopped on one of the local buses and crossed the island to our hotel, the Punta Chiarito Resort. Still, from the alleys of rione Sanità where the artist was born and still lives, the sea of Mergellina [a coastal district of the city of Naples] cannot be seen, its light breeze does not carry there. 'THERE'S DEFINETELY A MORE GLAMOROUS  CROWD THAT'S CURIOUS TO EXPLORE NAPLES NOW' Suddenly, the idyllic images that fill my Instagram feed are not from Positano and Amalfi, but Naples. Shows such as My Brilliant Friend and Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy, and Paolo Sorrentino’s film The Hand of God have shown the city’s more positive and enticing side. THE GRAPE VARIETAL THAT DOES BEST IN THE SANNIO Campania wine should be a part of the conversation, as the region is not only one of the oldest wine-producing territories in Italy, it is also today considered one of the very best. Benevento is home to arguably the most appealing and varietally pure examples of Falanghina in Campania. Offering lively acidity along with beautiful aromas of pear, honeysuckle, quince and sometimes a hint of saffron, these are irresistible when consumed from two to four years of age, and pair beautifully with a range of foods. Most versions are steel-aged, but some producers also craft wood-aged versions that offer greater intensity. Appreciating The Wines Of Campania | Forbes
