Now its majestic temples have a new guardian: Tiziana D’Angelo is one of the youngest people to direct a big Italian cultural site and is among the few female directors. A museum is planned at nearby Velia, where the Greek philosopher Parmenides was born, while more space will open at Paestum’s museum this year.
