"CIAO, BELLA." CAPRI IS EXTREMELY FREE It’s still one of Italy’s most fabulous places. Charli xcx name-checks Capri on the song “Everything Is Romantic” from her all-conquering album, "Brat" : “Lemons on the trees and on the ground / Sandals on the stirrups of the scooters / Neon orange drinks on the beach.” Which is pretty much the vibe. THE ISLAND OF CAPRI WHEN THE WEATHER IS OFTEN AT ITS MOST INVITING For a true taste of la dolce vita, JK Place Capri is an iconic address. Perched above the sea near Marina Grande, this intimate 22-room hotel feels more like an exceptionally stylish private house than a conventional five-star property. Individually designed rooms, impeccably dressed by Michele Bonan, open onto sea or garden views. The panoramic terrace — overlooking the Tyrrhenian sea — is the most elegant spot to soak up the views of the picturesque port. Why enchanting Capri is at it finest in October | The Standard

THE 120-YEAR OLD BEACH CLUB, ONE OF OLDEST IN CAPRI. The island has become even more alluring following the relaunch of the historic private beach club Torre Saracena and the opening of a newly refurbished luxury villa, Tenuta Saracena, on the same property in Marina Piccola. The club has vintage-style sun loungers, navy blue and white beach umbrellas, wooden decked sun terraces, a pergola, and a pontoon extending over the sea where private yachts can dock. Tucked between the cliffside and a 16th century tower, the club is secluded and remains discreet both in spirit and location. RECOMMENDATIONS FROM DESIGNER MICHAEL KORS AND JOURNALIST ALINA CHO, BOTH FREQUENT VISITORS TO CAPRI Villa San Michele on a site that was formerly a residence of Roman Emperor Tiberius and, in the 10th century, a chapel. The must-visit museum has stunning architecture (think porticoes and columns) and is filled with artworks. One of the most stunning sights is the 3,200-year-old granite sphinx sculpture. Nina Garcia’s Insider Guide to Capri | ELLE.com

THE WOMAN MOST OF US THINK OF WHEN WE PICTURE CAPRI'S ICONIC SANDAL "Jackie Kennedy, who helped put the shoe on the map for Italian summer aficionados everywhere." Is there anything more synonymous with Italian style than a pair of strappy, made-to-fit leather sandals? Capri’s most beloved keepsake is exactly what many style-forward visitors have in mind when they shopping: the Capri sandal has been a symbol of Mediterranean style for generations. TIBERIUS IS STILL WATCHING FROM THE CLIFFS Capri’s mountaintop Certosa di San Giacomo is where artist Conor Mccreedy majestically reawakens imperial Rome with Imperial Blues, a 12-piece oil series set at the heart of Tiberius’s dark reign. A site-specific project installed in the cloister, gateway to the new Archaeological Museum of Capri. The exhibition features oil portraits of Roman emperors, which establishes a strong dialogue with the site’s rich historical heritage and the dramatic surroundings. A FUSION OF ART, FASHION, AND POP CULTURE. The Chantecler x Marina Abramović capsule collection is inspired by Abramović’s art and the island’s primordial forces. The Serbian born conceptual artist has explored areas that relate to art and design, but this was her first foray into jewelry design in her decades-long career. The Chantecler endeavor was “a natural continuation” of Abramović’s [‘Transforming Energy’] exhibition at the Modern Art Museum in Shanghai, which dealt with stones, minerals and energy.  SUSPENDED BETWEEN SKY AND THE SEA The Amalfi Coast draws honeymooners for the views, the glittering Mediterranean sea, and of course, and some of Italy’s most legendary hotels. Muriel Saldalamacchia noted that the region unfolds “like a love letter to la dolce vita,” pointing to southern icons such as Capri Palace, “where island glamour mingles with contemporary artistry and sunlit indulgence,” and Villa Cimbrone. We Asked 5 Honeymoon Planners Their Favorite Romantic Destination—and They All Picked the Same Country | Travel + Leisure

CELEBRATING UNAPOLOGETIC  LOVE "Growing up, my mum had always told me the Isle of Capri was where you take your best friend and beloved because there is an old saying that if you embrace this person on the boat while passing through the isle, you will stay this special forever, and that’s exactly what we did." "Of course, it was somewhere very special to both of us on the Amalfi coast. Even before we knew each other, it was the one place we wanted to visit when we knew we had found our special one." Romance & Roadtrips With Tara Sutaria And Veer Pahariya | Travel and Leisure Asia

A GENUINE ISLAND COMMUNITY AGAIN Walking Capri’s narrow streets in November reveals architecture that mirrors the landscape’s impossibility. Whitewashed cubic buildings cascade down clifftops like scattered sugar cubes. Terracotta roofs catch amber morning light. Wooden shutters in faded blues and greens frame windows overlooking vertical drops to cobalt water. The village’s golden hour transformation occurs twice daily, at 7am and 5pm, when limestone walls glow phosphorescent against darkening sea. This tiny island 19 miles from Naples loses 90% of visitors in November | World Day

VINEYARD OVERLOOKING THE SEA, CONSTANT BREEZES, ANCIENT VINE From a centuries-old ungrafted vineyard on the island of Capri, this red is blend of Aglianico, Piedirosso and native black grapes. Capri Rosso: on the nose, liquorice, violet and blackberry distinguish an intense bouquet. The palate is no less impressive: creamy and pulpy, with well-extracted tannins. Wines on the edge | Gambero Rosso

"I HOPE TO HAVE MORE THAN 24 HOURS IN CAPRI IN THE FUTURE." We strolled through town, passing an array of luxury brand shops — from Ferragamo to Dolce & Gabbana — and walked about 45 minutes on a scenic trail downward to the water, to the famed beach club La Fontelina. We enjoyed spritzes, seafood and people watching at the scenic spot right on the water, recognizable by their blue and white striped umbrellas, before catching a boat back to the hotel. A CONTROVERSIAL COMEBACK FOR A FAMOUS NAME There is often a sense of nostalgia for certain vehicles throughout history and the Ford Capri certainly evoked that. Talk of reviving the Capri nameplate - inspired by the Italian island off the Gulf of Naples - has been rife for over 20 years. Now that talk has finally come to fruition in the form of a new all-electric SUV. Key to selling the new Capri is the promise of 627km (390 miles) of range on a single charge. IT'S ALL SO GORGEOUS YOU CAN'T QUITE BELIEVE IT EXISTS The best Capri moments, however, are when the insane and the beautiful, the poetic and the bratty all coincide in a total eclipse of reason. This happened to me a couple of days into my family’s stay, one sweltering mid-afternoon at La Palma Beach Club, on Marina Piccola beach. I was just toweling off after chasing some fish around the Tyrrhenian Sea with my children when the in-house DJ dropped “Tu Vuò Fà l’Americano,” by the Neapolitan singer Renato Carosone.
