3+2 TEMPLES Two ancient Doric temples were unearthed in the Ancient Greek city of Poseidonia, modern Paestum, south of Naples in southern Italy, known in antiquity as Magna Graecia (Greater Greece). A stratigraphic excavation campaign is underway in the western part of Paestum, near the city walls and a few hundred meters from the sea.
