AGLIANICO VINES IN TAURASI The Aglianico grape, which must make up 85 percent of a Taurasi DOCG wine: deep in color, rich in alcohol, ripe with fruit (with plenty of acid and an excess of tannin to boot). A new generation is breaking free of the negociant system and reclaiming their vineyards for their own wines. The area of vineyard declared as Taurasi doubled, and almost a score of new wine cellars appeared.
