THE FOOD WRITER AND SON OF THE QUEEN ON CHILDHOOD HOLIDAYS TO ISCHIA Every summer my grandparents would take us all — me, my sister, our parents, our cousins and their parents — to Ischia. We’d stay at the Excelsior Belvedere, a grand, old-fashioned hotel with a wonderful swimming pool. It was a lovely place, and we had the same routine there for two weeks every summer for 15 years or so. We children would have our mandatory siestas in the afternoon, which we hated. Then we’d do la passeggiata. Tom Parker Bowles: ‘Our villa chef was a secret press informer’ | The Times
