THE 'CAMPONICA' AND 'MORTARELLA' CULTIVARS A commercial orchard located in Irpinia was chosen as study site for both trees and fruits sampling. Thirty trees from each cultivar were selected and labelled for morphological determination and fruit collection. This study aimed to evaluate the morphological and phytochemical traits of the hazelnut ‘Camponica’ and ‘Mortarella’ cultivars, which are included in the germplasm of the Campania region and are recognised as a high-value product characteristic and traditional in this territory.
