WHERE MOUNT TABURNO WATCHES OVER ROLLING HILLS Aglianico del Taburno spreads across the provinces of Benevento and Avellino. While Aglianico is the most important grape here, other Italian and  international grape varieties grow in the region, too. Winemakers can use Piedirosso, Sangiovese, and small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. When mixed with Aglianico, these grapes help create wines with different flavours and more interesting taste combinations, making the wines from this Italian region even more special.
