A PRINCESS' SUMMER AT THE REGGIA Inspired by the French chateau, the magnificent marble Royal Palace of Caserta, an Italian national in sited ten miles north of Naples, is the largest royal residence in the world. Although a UNESCO Heritage site, Caserta is largely unknown — although not to the American Friends of Versailles — who toured it this spring with Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two-Sicilies, a sixth-generation descendant of Bourbon King Charles VII, who founded the palace in 1752.
