MAN'S ATTEMPTS TO CULTIVATE THE ANCIENT AND WILD LANDSCAPE OF THE AMALFI COAST The Borgo Santandrea grounds have been transformed and now contain some of the most beautiful gardens imaginable thanks to the passion of the head gardener. My visit coincides with peak jasmine blossom, a vast wall of it giving off that familiar heady scent as we walk under a pergola festooned with magenta bougainvillea. Clouds of orange tagetes flowers give off a lemony scent if you pick their leaves. The perfect way to see Italy’s most beautiful stretch of coast | The Times
