SALERNO CONTAINER TERMINAL: THE IDEAL GATEWAY LINKING SOUTHERN ITALY TO THE WORLD Container traffic at the port of Salerno rose 16.4% in 2025. Across the region’s ports, combined container volumes grew 5.1% over the year. Salerno continues to absorb much of the export-driven manufacturing traffic from Central and Southern Italy, while the Port of Naples focuses more on a multipurpose approach and liquid bulk.
